About the artwork

Three mounted watercolour studies. The top painting depicts fishing boats and jetty, and the middle painting is of two boats on a channel of water against mountains and a stormy sky. The bottom study depicts a boat on a stretch of water, against shadowy hills and a cloudy sky, with figures in the foreground. It is thought these paintings belong to the Scottish School, of the late 19th Century.
