About the artist
Hubert Kim Kempshall (born Manchester, 1934), known as Kim Kempshall, trained at Manchester College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art. Kempshall was head of the printmaking department at Edinburgh College of Art and a founding member of the Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop, the first open access studio and workshop specifically for printmakers in Britain.
