About the artist
Philip Le Bas (born Bordeaux, 1925), cousin of Sir Edward le Bas, an eminent English Impressionist painter. Following service in the RAF during the war Philip studied painting at the Regent Street Polytechnic and Brighton College of Art. He taught art at various schools and colleges, has exhibited across the UK and is represented in a number of public collections.
