About the artist
William Littlejohn RSA (born Arbroath, 1929-2006) studied Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. He spent time as an artist in residence at Hospitalfield, the summer school for promising young painters in Arbroath. He lectured at Gray s School of Art, Aberdeen and later became Head of Fine Art. He was awarded a RSA Gilllies award to travel to Japan in 1984, has exhibited his work widely. He is represented in a number of private and public collections.
