About the artist
Barbara Rae CBE RSA RA (born Falkirk, 1943), Painter and Printmaker, studied at Edinburgh College of Art and taught at Glasgow School of Art. Her work is characterised by bold colour, which evokes dramatic landscapes, but remain abstract. She has exhibited widely, and her work is represented in many public collections.
