About the artwork

The artist uses the tonal variation of colour to good effect in this print of a coastal landscape. He uses a combination of both textural and decorative marks alongside broad areas of colour in his work to create striking images. The etching medium combines the linear quality of his drawing with the transparent colour of a watercolour, lending the work a timeless quality.
