Job vacancy - Health and Social Care Partnership - Chief Officer

Message from the Chief Executives of NHS Highland and Argyll and Bute Council

Thank you for your interest in the position of Chief Officer for Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership. We are excited to offer the opportunity to apply for this exciting role, which will work collaboratively with the Senior Management Teams of Argyll and Bute Council and NHS Highland and provide a single senior point of overall strategic leadership for the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership. The post holder will be responsible for delivering the Vision for the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership.

Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership is a forward thinking, high performing and ambitious organisation that focuses on delivering person centred and integrated services across our area. If you relish a challenge, have a passion for public service and see your next career role in this beautiful region, then Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership is an ideal place for you to grow, develop and deliver.

Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership covers one of the most complex areas in Scotland, with 23 inhabited islands, six main towns and remote communities and we have an ageing and declining population. Our Integration Joint Board is responsible for all services, from social care to acute, as delegated by NHS Highland and Argyll and Bute Council.  We are realistic about our challenges, but have a talented, professional, innovative and creative workforce who are committed to doing their very best for those who rely on us for their most personal needs. We are based firmly in our communities and working closely with colleagues in the third and independent sector, strengthening and building relationships every day.

We are looking to recruit a Chief Officer to lead us into this next important and exciting time that will see our ongoing recovery from Covid19 and take us through some major transformational changes, such as the National Care Service. With strong communication, engagement and partnership skills, you will be central to ensuring that the HSCP works closely with our communities, listening to them and ensuring that we deliver the services that they need.

In joining us as Chief Officer, you will have a proven track record in strategic and values based leadership, operational management and transformational change. You will have the opportunity to make a career defining impact, taking a leadership role in our culture journey, supporting our workforce to thrive and transforming the health and wellbeing of our communities.

We look foward to hearing from you.

Pam Dudek, Chief Executive, NHS Highland
