Argyll and Bute Council operates Oban Airport, Coll, Colonsay and Glenforsa Aerodromes. Oban Airport is situated just to the north of the village of North Connel and some six miles from the centre of Oban. Work began in April 2006 to re-developed Oban Airport in preparation for Public Service Obligation (PSO) routes to the Islands of Coll and Colonsay.
The Airport is suitable for recreational / private / and commercial use. In addition to Oban, Coll and Colonsay, Argyll and Bute Council also operates the Aerodrome at Glenforsa, Isle of Mull.
Oban Airport is situated on the idyllic West Coast of Scotland and offers one of the best views that any airport could have. With a no-fuss check-in and friendly staff on hand to look after you, Oban Airport is an ideal place to come for a visit to the islands.
Sample the wildlife and meet the local, friendly people on the Isles of Coll, Tiree, and Colonsay, where you can stay in some of the best accommodation in Scotland or return to Oban to take in the breathtaking sunset over Oban bay and the Isle of Mull.
