Riverside Pool in Dunoon closing for essential works.

Dunoon’s Riverside pool will be closed between 5 and 23 March for essential repairs.  But as it’s only the pool that will be closed so there’s no excuse to give up your exercise regime as the gym will only be closed for four days!

The gym which will only be closed between 8 and 11 March will remain open throughout the rest of March.  The pool closure is for essential maintenance but the council is sure that the work will be completed in time for the Easter holidays ensuring that the Riverside is in the best condition for the Argyll and Bute Swimming Championships in September.

Problems with the spa bath mean that it will have to be replaced.  As soon as we have a new spa unit we will have it changed.

Councillor Rory Colville spokesperson for third sector and communities said “To maintain and ensure that Argyll and Bute Council’s leisure facilities are of the highest standard, on-going repair and upgrading works are essential. When the pool reopens many more happy swimmers will be able to use the Riverside pool safely and in comfort.”
