Agenda and minutes

The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and advised that no person present would be entitled to speak other than the Members of the Local Review Body (LRB) and Mr Reppke who would provide procedural advice in required.

The Chair advised that his first task would be to establish if the Members of the LRB felt that they had sufficient information before them to come to a decision on the review.  It was established that the LRB had enough information before them and they went on to determine the merits of the case.

The Chair advised that he supported the Planning decision regardless of what has happened in the past.  He advised that planning was about providing for the future and not looking back.

Both Councillors Freeman and Currie advised that they too were of the same opinion and that it was important to protect the Tobermory Conservation Area.

Decision

The Argyll and Bute LRB unanimously agreed to refuse the request to remove conditions 1 and 2 from the planning consent on the basis that they were necessary to protect the character and appearance of the Tobermory Conservation Area.
