Minutes:

The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and advised that no person present would be entitled to speak other than the Members of the Local Review Body (LRB) and Mr Reppke who would provide procedural advice if required.

The Chair advised that his first task would be to establish if the Members of the LRB felt that they had sufficient information before them to come to a decision on the review.  It was established that the LRB had enough information before them and they went onto determine the case.

Councillor McNaughton advised that having read the paperwork and looked carefully at the decision taken when this application was first approved, he felt that there was no case for altering the conditions agreed to be attached to this consent.

Councillor Kinniburgh advised that he was of the same opinion.  He referred to the application being recommended for refusal by the Planners and that the Committee had overturned this decision and agreed to grant the application with specific conditions and that he felt that these conditions should not be altered and that they should remain in place.

The Chair advised that he was of the same view and that nothing had changed since the application was first submitted and that the conditions attached to the planning consent should remain the same.

Decision

The Argyll and Bute Local Review Body unanimously agreed to refuse the request for the removal of conditions 4 and 5 from the planning consent and to uphold the reasons for refusal by the Planning Department on the basis that the conditions were necessary to properly integrate the development into the landscape and to protect the amenity of the area.
