Agenda and minutes

The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and advised that parties to the Review were not permitted to address the Local Review Body (LRB).  She advised that the only participants entitled to speak would be the Members of the LRB and Mr Jackson who would provide procedural advice if required.

The Chair advised that her first task would be to establish whether or not the LRB felt they had enough information before them to reach a decision on the Review.  The LRB agreed unanimously that they had enough information to make a decision on the application and agreed to proceed to determine the case.

Councillor Freeman advised that this was a straightforward case, he had no argument with the Planning Officer’s assessment and that he was happy to support the Officer’s decision to refuse the application.

Councillor MacMillan agreed with Councillor Freeman and advised that this application was contrary to so many policies.

Councillor Devon advised that she had noted the application had previously been approved in 2007, however the Development Plan had changed since then resulting in the proposal now going against planning policy.

Decision

Agreed to uphold the decision to refuse the planning application for the reasons stated in the Report of Handling.
