Minutes:

 

The minutes of the meeting of 5th November 2010 were approved as a correct record with the substitution of “Argyll Voluntary Action” with  “3rd Sector Partnership” on the 3rd line of the 1st paragraph on page 2 of the minutes, and substitute “Cowal Community Trust” with “Dunoon Community Development Group” on the 4th line of the 3rd paragraph on page 5 of the minutes.

 

The Group discussed the Community Council attendance at the LACPG meeting in particular regard to Bute and it was agreed that Shirley MacLeod would investigate the decision made at previous meetings and circulate this to the Group.

Bute and Cowal Youth Work Session

Minutes:

 

Due to apologies being submitted from the people involved in this item, the Youth Work Session was continued to another meeting, date to be confirmed.

Community Engagement Toolkit - Argyll & Bute Council, Improvement & Strategic Hr pdf icon PDF 546 KB

Minutes:

 

Angela Moohan spoke on the aims of the National Better Community Engagement Programme and then explained Argyll and Bute’s aims included development of training and training materials.  Liz Marion explained the consultation would be slightly different in each area depending on the LACPG Action Plan.

 

The Group agreed the Community Engagement training would take place on Thursday 24th February 2011 with Liz circulating details and invitations.

5.

Rationalisation / Partnership Linkages to Local Area Community Planning Group - Argyll & Bute Council, Governance and Law - report to follow

Minutes:

 

Shirley MacLeod circulated the current Rationalisation/Partnership linkages to the Local Area Community Planning Group advising that at the next meeting this document should be completed and the Action Plan updated.

 

The Group noted the information provided.
