Proposed : Councillor B Marshall Seconded: Councillor L Scoullar Amendment The neighbouring property at Courtyard Cottage already fails to achieve the BS8206 average daylight factors recommended by BRE. As such any further reduction in diffuse daylight would have a significant adverse affect on the levels of household amenity of Courtyard Cottage. It would therefore be consistent with paragraphs 14.1, 14.2 and 14.3 of appendix A of the Argyll and Bute Local Plan proposals for adoption June 2009 to refuse this application as contrary to policy LP ENV 19 for the following reason. · The proposed development would cause a significant reduction in diffuse daylight to the neighbouring property, Courtyard Cottage, and would therefore be contrary to paragraphs 14.1, 14.2 and 14.3 of appendix A and Policy L P ENV 19 and LP HOU5 of the Argyll & Bute Local Plan proposals for adoption. Proposed: Councillor R Simon Seconded: Councillor A McNaughton On being put to the vote, 4 voted for the Motion and 2 for the Amendment.
