Apologies for absence were intimated from Councillors Gordon Blair, Rory Colville, Mary-Jean Devon, Roderick McCuish and Alistair MacDougall.

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Minutes:

 

Councillor Neil MacIntyre declared a non financial declaration in the application for a Taxi Operator’s Licence submitted by Ms Wylie from Oban.  Councillor MacIntyre advised that members of his family were involved in the taxi business in the Oban area and therefore he would not take part in the determination of this application.  He left the room and took no part in the following hearing.

CIVIC GOVERNMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 1982: APPLICATION FOR GRANT OF TAXI OPERATOR'S LICENCE (L WYLIE, OBAN)

Minutes:

 

The Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and introductions were made.  He then outlined the procedure that would be followed and invited the Applicant to speak in support of her application.

 

Applicant

 

Ms Wylie confirmed that she wished to apply for a Taxi Operator Licence as per the application she submitted and for the reason stated in the report to the Committee.

 

As there were no objections to this application the Chair invited Members to ask questions.

 

Members’ Questions

 

Councillor Currie sought and received clarification from Ms Wylie on the nature of a previous conviction.

 

Decision

 

It was unanimously agreed to grant a Taxi Operator Licence to Ms Wylie.
