HOME SAFETY VISITS - Strathclyde Fire & Rescue

:

Minutes:

David Millward, Strathclyde Fire & Rescue, provided a power-point presentation on Home Safety Visits, which are reliant on referrals.  Strathclyde Fire & Rescue work with care providers, NHS, Social Services and any other person / body in contact with vulnerable people.  “Hazard Spotting” training can be given and talks can be arranged with groups by calling 01546 605530 or 01631 569995.  SF&R have created a CD which is used by teachers as part of the school curriculum.  Smoke detectors continue to be installed where firefighters inspections show a requirement, free of charge, in an effort to provide early warning which ultimately enhances everyone’s safety including the firefighters.
