Argyll and Bute Council Elections 3 May 2012
Local Government Elections took place on 3 May 2012 to elect 36 Councillors to serve on Argyll and Bute Council. Councillors were elected for each of the 11 Wards that make up the Council.

**Notice of Countermanded Election**
Following the death of the Scottish National Party (SNP) candidate in the Dunoon Ward, Alister MacAlister, the Returning Officer countermanded the Notice of Election for this Ward.
The poll for the Dunoon Ward took place on Thursday 10 May 2012. The Notice of Poll and Statement of Persons Nominated (dunoon) have been published. To view the details of Election Agents please see the Notice of Election Agents for Dunoon.
Registering to Vote
In order to vote in the Council Elections you must be registered to vote. To check whether your name is on the electoral register, or to check whether you are eligible to vote, please contact the Electoral Registration Office on Freephone 0800 980 0470
