Achahoish Primary is a small non-denominational school situated about eleven miles from Lochgilphead on the Kilberry road. The area around the school is rural upland located within Knapdale National Scenic Area.

The school is a single storey traditional building which, combined with recent renovations and extensions, provides a pleasant and welcoming environment for learning. There is a large grass covered play area to which children have ready access with an adjoining football pitch for use by the pupils.

Campbeltown Grammar School was founded in 1686. It serves the town of Campbeltown, the south Kintyre area and the island of Gigha and has a roll of 360. The new school opened in February 2018 and is very much built for education in the 21st Century. State of the art classrooms all have Promethean Boards that teachers are using effectively to help make their lessons engaging and motivating.

Castlehill Primary School is a large non-denominational school which serves part of the town of Campbeltown and much of the area to the south and east of the town. The school enjoys close links with Campbeltown Nursery and with Campbeltown Grammar School.
