St Kierans Primary School
St. John Street
St. Kieran’s Primary is a small school situated in the centre of Campbeltown, a small fishing town on the scenic peninsula of Kintyre on the west coast of Scotland. It is a denominational school (although not exclusively so) and serves Campbeltown and its surrounding villages. The building is of traditional construction, comprising two classrooms, library, general-purpose room, infant playroom and a kitchen/dining area and has a large playground (which is also used for P.E. and other outdoor activities) with a small walled garden area.
In a warm, welcoming environment, the school provides a broad and balanced curriculum which is tailored to the needs of each child and encourages positive attitudes to health and the environment. The school boasts strong links with the local community, not least with the local church and with all other schools in the area, and has a very supportive Parent Council.
HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) inspects and reports on the quality of education in pre-school centres, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, community learning and development services, colleges, and residential educational provision.
You can read and download any inspection reports for this school, and find out more about the inspection process, on the HM Inspectorate of Education website.
Follow Through Inspections are carried out at schools where areas for improvement have been identified in the original inspection, and if any follow through reports have been produced for this school, they will be available for you to read and download below.
