St Andrews Primary School

Our main aim in St Andrew’s Primary School is to provide an education of the highest quality and to promote the Christian formation of our pupils.

To that end we provide a safe and caring environment for children within which staff are sensitive to pupils’ needs and respect their dignity and individuality. We encourage the children to develop self-discipline and motivate them to work hard at realising their potential. Our programmes of study are designed to be stimulating, challenging and appropriate to each child’s ability.

We hope that our young people leave primary school having fulfilled their academic potential and having developed high self esteem and a caring and a positive attitude to life and their future place in society.

We value greatly the partnership that exists between home and school and believe that parents and carers have a vital role to play in their child’s education. Parents and carers will always be most welcome in our school whether as a helper or meeting with staff to discuss their child’s progress.

We also enjoyed close links with the Parish of St Andrew’s, working together to build on the existing Christian community.
