Skipness Primary School is situated in the village of Skipness on the east side of the Kintyre peninsula. The school aims to provide a comprehensive education suited to the needs and abilities of all its pupils, with each pupil achieving his or her maximum potential, whilst enjoying their school experience. The capacities of Curriculum for Excellence have long been a feature of the small school with successful learners (excellent pupil teacher ratio), confident individuals (everyone starring in concerts productions), responsible citizens (school at the heart of the community) and effective contributors (in the community and the environment)
HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) inspects and reports on the quality of education in pre-school centres, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, community learning and development services, colleges, and residential educational provision.
You can read and download any inspection reports for this school, and find out more about the inspection process, on the HM Inspectorate of Education website.
Follow Through Inspections are carried out at schools where areas for improvement have been identified in the original inspection, and if any follow through reports have been produced for this school, they will be available for you to read and download below.
