Sandbank Primary School is of modern construction and was opened in 1977. It is situated on the outskirts of the village of Sandbank on the main road to Dunoon. The school is surrounded by extensive playing fields. As well as providing for main stream education the school houses a Pre-5 Unit catering for 3 – 5 year old pupils and a Gaelic Medium Unit catering for all pupils within Cowal whose parents elect to have their children educated in the Gaelic Language.
