Aerodromes

Argyll and Bute Council operates Oban Airport, Coll, Colonsay and Glenforsa Aerodromes.

Work began in April 2006 to re-develop Oban Airport in preparation for Public Service Obligation (PSO) routes to the Islands of Coll and Colonsay. The Airport is suitable for recreational,private and commercial use. In addition to Oban, Coll and Colonsay, Argyll and Bute Council also operates the Aerodrome at Glenforsa, Isle of Mull.

The Airport is licensed and a ‘Flight Information Service’ is available seven days a week from 09:00 to 18:00 hrs (GMT). The new runway (01/19) is 1199 metres long with displaced thresholds at both ends. The Air Terminal is open for Scheduled Passenger and General Aviation use.

Prior Permission Required (PPR)

Currently, due to the ongoing re-development there is a three hour PPR. This situation is constantly being reviewed and PPR will be reduced in due course. Telephone number for PPR: 01631 710910

Overnight Parking - Aircraft

Aircraft owners/operators wishing to park overnight will be directed to the "Western Parking Area" situated on the disused runway via taxiway Golf.

Landing Fees
Landing fees are payable at Oban Airport or will be invoiced by Argyll and Bute Council.
