Redevelopment of Port Askaig
The first phase of the redevelopment of Port Askaig, Isle of Islay begins on Monday 30th June 2003 and should take around 13 months to complete.

The redevelopment project, estimated at £6.5M, has been broken down into three phases over a period of three years:
- Phase 1 - improvements to parking & mustering area, including associated roadworks
- Phase 2 - expansion of harbour facility
- Phase 3 - improvements to pier buildings
