campbeltown and kintyre strategy
In February 2005, a consultant team led by yellow bookwas appointed to carry out the Campbeltown regeneration study. The consultant team includes Willie Miller Urban Design (WMUD) and Ryden. The study was commissioned by Argyll & Bute Council (ABC) on behalf of a client group that also included Argyll & the Islands Enterprise (AIE) and Communities Scotland (CS).
Local Biodiversity
Biodiversity encompasses the whole variety of life, it is all living things, from the tiny garden to the giant redwood tree. You will find biodiversity everywhere, in window boxes and wild woods, roadsides and rain forests, snow field and sea shore.
Marine and Coastal Development Unit
The Marine and Coastal Development Unit works on a number of projects and initiatives, including the Marine Natura Project and the Integrated Coastal Zone Management Project.
Oban Action Plan
The Action Plan for Oban sets a strategic framework complementary to the Argyll and Bute Development Plan to support growth and enhance the quality of place and sustainable performance of Oban as the regional capital of the Western Highlands and the Islands.

Argyll and Bute has a beautiful and varied landscape, with a variety of routes for all abilities. You can take a family cycle ride alongside the Crinan Canal, scale the lofty heights of Ben Cruachan or wander across the sandy beaches on the Isle of Tiree.
