The Local Plan has now been adopted.

The plan became operative on 6th August 2009, and was not subject to a legal challenge.

Payment for copies of the Plan should be made by cheque, made payable to Argyll and Bute Council, and sent to Development Services, Argyll and Bute Council, Kilmory, Lochgilphead, Argyll, PA31 8RT, stating what the payment is for e.g. Written Statement, or Written Statement plus Bute and Cowal maps, etc.

The Argyll and Bute Local Plan is also available to view or download on the Council's website.

Argyll and Bute Council has also produced Design Guidance, which promotes good quality, sustainable and contemporary building design, and where appropriate innovative solution, suited to the distinctive landscapes, towns and villages of Argyll and Bute.
