Building Standards Register

Section 24 of the Building Scotland Act (2003), all local authorities are required to keep a Building Standards Register for the geographical area of the authority. It consists of two parts, Part 1 containing data with Part 2 containing documents. The information includes:

  • applications for warrant and amendments to warrants
  • decisions on the applications
  • submissions of completion certificates
  • decisions on the submissions (acceptance or rejection)
  • particularts of energy performance certificates (not currently available online)
  • particulars of notices (not currently available online)

In line with this requirement, part 1 of our register is available online through our 'Online Planning and Building Standards Application Information' system. (see link below)
