Building Standards performance
The Building Standards service constantly monitors and reviews its performance. At present historic performance indicators (P.I’s) are reported to council on a quarterly and annual basis.
These Performance Indicators (PI) are as follows:
- 80% of applications for Building Warrant to have a first response within 15 days
- Issue 80% of Building Warrants within six days of receiving all relevant information
- Respond to a submission of a Completion Certificate within three days
- Accept/reject 80% of Completion Certificate submissions within three days
Under our updated Charter Statement these PI’s have been modified to better reflect our focus on customer service delivery. These will in future form the basis of our performance reporting using the ‘pyramid’ performance management system which will provide details of our Building Standards performance in real time.
