Argyll and Bute Council Pest Control is a well established unit run within the Operational Services Department of Argyll and Bute Council.
The section consists of four highly trained and Qualified Pest Control Technicians, one based in each of the four Council areas covering the mainland and island locations. When a request for Pest Control is received at the area office, it is processed and the Technician is supplied with all the relevant information to complete the work. All our Technicians response times are closely monitored by performance indicators to allow us to deliver a first class service to our customers. Our unit is closely linked to the Public Protection section of Argyll and Bute Council to provide more comprehensive advice on Environmental Health issues. Our Pest Technicians are trained in a wide variety of pest eradication work including moles and rabbit problems in both commercial and private land. There are charges for the Pest Control Service, and payment can be made by "Switch" over the telephone, or if you prefer visit one of the local area offices. Charges for credit card payment 2.35% of the value of the transaction. The strategic placement of the Technicians in the four areas allows work to be dealt with on a proactive and reactive basis. We have recently employed a Pest Technician to cover Islay and Jura for both domestic and commercial premises.

Commercial Work

We tender for all types of Pest Control work in the commercial sector. Our Pest Technician will visit your property, survey the area and discuss your requirements. Then within fourteen days you will be provided with a written quotation detailing the cost of the treatment you require. However, if you do not wish to sign into a contract we are more than willing to treat on a visit basis for each job.
