It is a leading partner in the Argyll and Bute Agriculture Forum which is a multi-agency group that aims to raise awareness of agricultural issues across the area.
Development of the Argyll Local Food Supply Chain
Public awareness of the benefits of sourcing locally grown and produced food is growing rapidly. More consumers are changing their buying habits and now seek “local” products for social, environmental, health and quality reasons. There is increasing evidence from other regions in the UK that a co-ordinated approach to the local supply chain can increase the value of this market to local producers.
