Argyll and Bute Council is set to embark on a major consultation exercise with its tenants about the potential transfer of its entire housing stock to a new, not for profit, landlord which will be a housing association.“ I will be attending most of the road shows and hope to have the opportunity speak to as many of our tenants as possible on our stock transfer proposals."
A series of road shows are scheduled to take place around the Bute and Cowal area and all tenants and residents are invited to come along. At these road shows tenants can drop in and find out a bit more about the proposed new housing association and what stock transfer will mean for them.
Attending the road shows and delighted to answer any questions and take comments will be Alastair MacGregor who has been appointed as the new RSL (Registered Social Landlord) Development Manager.
Alastair along with members of his team will be happy to talk to tenants informally on the new housing association and the potential benefits of transferring to it.
Tenants will be asked to vote in a postal ballot planned for early next year and transfer will depend on a majority of tenants voting yes.
