Scotland's National Puppetry Festival.The popular annual Puppet Animation Festival will once again be at schools and venues throughout Argyll and Bute from Monday 10th March to Saturday 26th April 2008.This is the 24th annual celebration of puppet theatre and animation in Scotland. The Puppet Animation Festival is the UK's oldest and largest performing arts event for children and young people.
From its origins as a week of 14 shows during the Easter holidays in Edinburgh in 1984, the festival now lasts for 6 weeks with over 270 events in Scotland this year.
The performances, workshops and film screenings take place throughout Scotland and will be in Argyll and Bute this spring.
The performances are provided by leading companies from the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
Each year more than 19,000 children, young people and their families across the whole country enjoy events produced by the Puppet Animation Festival .
