Highland 2007, Scotland’s Year of Highland Culture – Funding for Major Events and Festivals
Argyll and Bute Council has decided that the remaining £200,000 in its Major Events and Festivals budget should be used to fund events which form part of the Highland 2007 programme. This means that some of the criteria for this funding have been changed and, importantly, there will be a deadline placed on applications for this funding. Argyll and Bute Council works closely with Scotland’s Puppet Animation Festival in the delivery of quality performances for children in Argyll and Bute. The Corran Halls, Oban plays host to some of Scotland’s best known children’s touring companies, including Catherine Wheels, Wee Stories Theatre Company, Visible Fictions and TAG.
