Kirn Primary is a non-denominational school situated in Ardenslate Housing Area. The original building dates back to 1882 and an extension consisting of a hall and ten classrooms was added in 1955.

We currently have pupils from Dunoon, Kirn and Hunter’s Quay.

We aim to provide our pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum covering all aspects of the 5-14 guidelines.
To ensure our pupils are fit for the 21st century, we have a well- resourced computer suite consisting of eight PCs and 12 iMacs linked to the Internet. We also have an interactive whiteboard.
The computer suite is timetabled for use by all pupils from P1 to P7.

HMIE Inspection Reports:

HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) inspects and reports on the quality of education in pre-school centres, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, community learning and development services, colleges, and residential educational provision.

You can read and download any inspection reports for this school, and find out more about the inspection process, on the HM Inspectorate of Education website.

Follow Through Inspections are carried out at schools where areas for improvement have been identified in the original inspection, and if any follow through reports have been produced for this school, they will be available for you to read and download below.
