John Logie Baird Primary is a non-denominational school which caters for both boys and girls, covering the primary stages one to seven. The school also has a pre-school unit for children aged three to five years. The maximum capacity of the building is 351 primary places with 60 morning and 60 afternoon places for pre-school children.

Parents and carers should note that the working capacity of the school may be dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and the way in which classes are organised.

Enhanced provision at John Logie Baird Primary School for pupils with additional support needs comprises a learning centre teacher and learning assistants.
