The BET programme of delivery in relation to “Soft Skills” is designed to raise personal development and self-awareness, enabling participants to enhance their chances of gaining permanent employment. This is provided through individual and group work, team building exercises and a series of voluntary placements, all designed to provide the necessary skills required to re-enter the job market.
Topics covered include amongst others; communication skills, behavioural skills, team building, and physical and mental health awareness. Furthermore, the delivery of “Soft Skills” in such areas as confidence building, lifestyles, identification of personal goals and interview skills coupled with an introduction to psychology and sociology, all create an environment of opportunity. All of the above are supplemented with Basic Core Skill learning such as C.V. creation, letter writing and the completion of job applications.
