About our School : Strath of Appin Primary School is a modern, single storey, open-plan school, completed in 1975. It has all necessary facilities, including its own kitchen and a dining area that doubles as our gym. The most northerly school in mainland Argyll and Bute, it is only 4 miles from the border with Highland Council. Appin is a rural area of outstanding scenic beauty with a total population of approximately 420. Fully integrated into the school we have a Gaelic Medium class (started August 2003) and a local authority pre-School unit.
