About our School : Drummore Learning Centre provides education for children with additional support needs from 3 – 18 years. Part of the teaching area houses an Autistic Spectrum Disorder Unit that provides a safe and secure environment for children with autism. The centre follows the 5-14 curriculum, including the elaborated curriculum and is approved by the SQA to present Higher Still units at Access 1 and 2 levels. Disabled access to the learning centre is provided to the back and front of the building and the centre has been recently adapted to include a personal care suite. A playground, play equipment and a grassed area provide a safe outdoor play environment. The centre is situated in a building which is shared with Drummore Education Development Centre. The learning centre houses a preschool unit and is also the base for the local Area Network Support Team that provides outreach support to schools in the Oban and Lorn area. A Gaelic preschool unit is based off-site in the Guide Hall in Soroba Road.
