Library and Information Service

The Council’s Library and Information Service provides a wide range of materials and facilities to meet the leisure, educational, informational and cultural needs of the community.

It is delivered through a network of branch and mobile libraries and special collections, all co-ordinated and administered from Library Headquarters. Membership is free, and available to anyone living, working or being educated in Argyll and Bute, and to visitors who are on holiday in the area.
