Arts and entertainment

Argyll and Bute Council’s support for the Arts is based primarily on the desire to enhance the quality of community life for local people. Not only do the Arts contribute to the quality of community life, but they also offer economic benefit to artists living and working in the area, and Festivals and events contribute to Argyll and Bute’s attraction as a tourist area.

Argyll and Bute Council is both a direct provider of the Arts and an enabler, with grant support through the Leisure Development Grants Scheme.
