Bute and Kyle Villages, Community Capacity Building Programme

Why not apply for assistance with your community project through the Bute and Kyle Villages Community Capacity Building Programme?

The Employability Team of Argyll and Bute Council have just been awarded a grant of £22,673 from WHELK Leader+ which will contribute towards a total project cost of £104,889.00. The remainder of the funding will come from the Employability Team and Development Services as well as a minimal contribution from the Community Groups who will benefit from the project works.

This new programme is designed to offer help to Community Groups looking to enhance their environment, create recreational facilities or just to replace old or create new pathways. The programme has an established team waiting to help you and your group to complete your project at little or no cost to you.

The programme will offer specific training to Community Groups and the teams carrying out the work in areas such as:

  • Project Planning
  • Budgeting
  • Funding Applications
  • Maintenance
  • Sustainability
  • And Other Areas of Project work

Our team will work with you to establish your project, help you to carry it out, guide you through the needs to sustain your project and even do the majority of the physical work involved. In return we will be looking to you to take an active part in your project and contribute to some of the costs involved. Costs will only relate to those needed for materials essential to the project and to offset some of the costs of getting the team to your site.

So, why not apply today, the Bute and Kyle Villages Community Capacity Building Programme will only run from 4th April 2005 to 31st March 2006 and all projects will have to be completed by that date, so don’t delay speak to George Reynolds our local Supervisor today, he can be contacted on 07766 367 436. George will work with you to ensure the success of your project.
