Development Control

The Development Control Service has been renamed by the Scottish Governement and is now known as Development Management.

The purpose of Development Management is to regulate the development and use of land. Four experienced area teams carry out the development control function - primarily involved in the processing of planning applications, monitoring of development as it takes place and enforcement actions where breaches of control have occurred.

Should you have a query regarding development control please contact the relevant area team who can offer assistance and advice.
