Ashfield Primary is a small rural school situated in the village of Achnamara on the shores of Loch Sween. Built in 1956 the school covers P1 to P7 in two classrooms and has the benefit of a general-purpose room for PE, drama etc.

The school is very much a part of the community and enjoys a close working relationship with the parents and local community. We aim to create a warm, friendly environment for children, parents and visiting teachers and the children are encouraged to develop a responsible attitude to work and play and to show consideration for others within the school and the wider community.

HMIE Inspection Reports:

HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIE) inspects and reports on the quality of education in pre-school centres, primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, community learning and development services, colleges, and residential educational provision.

You can read and download any inspection reports for this school, and find out more about the inspection process, on the HM Inspectorate of Education website.

Follow Through Inspections are carried out at schools where areas for improvement have been identified in the original inspection, and if any follow through reports have been produced for this school, they will be available for you to read and download below.
