22nd           Badger Survey Training Event, Aquilibrium, Campbeltown - FREE

                        The event is designed to provide participants with the skills required to conduct a badger survey for the
                        Scottish Badger Distribution Survey. The events include classroom training and a guided trip to a local sett.
                        Events are open to all. No experience necessary as full training will be provided.

24th &        Rhododendron eradication by the Lever and Mulch Method - Workshops and Training Course

25th             Lochaline Hotel, Morvern, Argyll at 10am

                        Two, one-day Workshops – aimed mainly at land managers, owners and agents, agency and NGO conservation, policy and
                        land staff, invasive species specialists, volunteer and work team leaders, forestry consultants and contractors, etc…

                        Sustainable places support the physical and mental health and well-being of people.  This event will
                        examine links between natural heritage and well-being.

2nd      Argyll & Bute Biodiversity Partnership AGM  from 5.30 – 8.30 pm - Inveraray Primary School, Inveraray
           
There will be presentations on the River Basin Management project; Cardross project - St Peter’s Complex – A Productive Landscape;
                Local Biodiversity Action Plan Review;  and a display of  the School Grounds and Biodiversity Project at Inveraray PS.

24th            Seminar for Planning Students - Making Sustainable Places: Planning and the
                    Natural Heritage

                         Effective planning creates sustainable places and cares for the natural environment.  Using a blend of
                         presentations, themed sessions and access to a panel of experienced professionals, student planners
                         are encouraged to explore the key issues and opportunities for safeguarding the environment.
