COMMUNITY ACTION FOR BIODIVERSITY

HELP  RECORD YOUR LOCAL WILDLIFE

Many of you are keen on wildlife but do not know how you can help record them.  Recording wildlife helps build a better understanding of what species live in Argyll & Bute.

Why not turn a ramble in the country side into an adventure, whilst at the same time helping some of the key biodiversity conservation activities, such as surveying and monitoring.

COMMUNITY CATCHMENT MANAGEMENT GUIDELINES

These guidelines are produced by the Argyll and Bute Local Biodiversity Partnership as part of the Community Action for Biodiversity Project. They are intended to provide a tool to help in the development of local catchment management plans in Argyll

and Bute. These plans are seen as a way of focussing on the relationship between biodiversity, habitat management and the local community .The guidelines are divided into two parts; part 1 is a general discussion of local catchment management planning in Argyll and Bute, part 2 is a case study of the catchment of the River Euchar, chosen because it is typical of the small to medium sized catchments within Argyll and Bute.

Please feel free to download our Community Catchment Management Guidelines document.

(Please note that there is an error on Page 40 of the guidelines Bragleenbeg Farm should actually read Bragleenmore).
